The NISPC was founded by the NACDS, APhA, NCPA, and NABP.
They certify CDM status and credential (Certified Disease Manager)
in four specific areas: Anticoagulation, Asthma, Diabetes, and Dyslipidemia.
Certification consists of passing a $250 dollar, DSM (Disease State Management) exam that consists of 120 questions, of which 60 are real scored questions. Pass/Fail with score of 75 as passing. The exam is 3 ¼ hrs.
Recertification requires 30 hours of continuing education in that specific disease Q 3 yrs
